Why does it leak. Water. From the top

Purchase the 3400 power washer about year used for 40 mins set for winter went to use started it but water pressure get weaker once you squeeze handle I checked for any blockages some e said maybe pump hard to imagine pump messed up that fast any advise

Just bought my Simpson 3300 psi power washer and tried using the hose supplied with it for sucking up detergent to help with the cleaning. took the protective black covering off, connected the hose and it doesn't work. What a I doing wrong?
